Yes. Britscars operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year — including bank holidays and Christmas.

Booking & Reservations

We recommend booking at least 2 hours in advance for local journeys and at least 24 hours ahead for airport transfers, especially for early-morning departures.

Yes, absolutely. You can book on behalf of a family member, colleague or client. Just enter their name and phone number in the passenger details section when booking online.
Yes. Once your booking is submitted, you'll receive a confirmation email (if you provided one) with your booking reference number.

You can also track your booking status at any time using the Track Booking page on our website.
You can note a preferred driver in the special requests field when booking. We'll do our best to accommodate this, subject to driver availability on your travel date.

Payment & Pricing

We accept:
• Cash (most common)
• Credit and debit cards
• Bank transfer for corporate accounts

Please note that card payments may incur a small processing fee. The payment method can be selected at the time of booking.
The prices shown are starting prices. Your final fare depends on the exact pickup and dropoff locations, traffic conditions, waiting time and the vehicle class selected.

We always provide a confirmed fare before your journey begins.
No. Standard luggage is included at no extra cost. If you have unusually large or excessive luggage (e.g. multiple large suitcases for a group), please mention this in the special requests when booking so we can send an appropriate vehicle.

Airport Transfers

Yes. For all airport pickup bookings, we monitor your flight in real time using your flight number. If your flight is delayed, your driver will automatically adjust their arrival time.

Please provide your flight number when booking an airport transfer.
We recommend allowing the following times from Reading:
• Heathrow: 45–75 minutes
• Gatwick: 60–90 minutes
• Stansted: 90–120 minutes
• Luton: 75–105 minutes

We factor in traffic and always aim to get you there with plenty of time to spare.
For airport pickups, your driver will wait in the arrivals hall holding a name sign with your name or the Britscars logo.

For Heathrow specifically, drivers wait in the designated meet-and-greet area on the arrivals level of the relevant terminal.

Safety & Comfort

Yes. All Britscars drivers hold a valid PHV (Private Hire Vehicle) licence issued by Reading Borough Council, which requires a full DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) enhanced check, medical assessment and driving record review.
We can arrange child seats on request. Please mention this in the special requests field when booking, specifying the child's age and approximate weight so we can provide the correct seat type.

There may be a small additional charge for child seat provision.

Cancellations & Changes

• Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your pickup time
• 50% charge for cancellations within 2–24 hours of pickup
• Full fare charged for cancellations within 2 hours or no-shows

Yes. You can change your pickup time, location or other details by contacting us at least 2 hours before your scheduled pickup.

Changes are subject to driver availability and may affect the fare. Call us on +44 7402 061016 to discuss amendments.
